Palairos Marina is a small harbour located on the mainland of Greece in the Inland Sea, positioned nine miles east by sea from the southern end of the Levkas Canal. The marina sits approximately one mile north of Vounaki harbour and marina, which serves as the main Sunsail charter base in this region of Western Greece. The harbour accommodates 12-15 yachts along its breakwater in depths ranging from 3.0 to 4.0 metres. Additional berthing is available for 16-18 vessels on a pontoon situated just east of the breakwater. The pontoon is primarily occupied by Odysseus Sailing charter company yachts during weekends and often on Wednesdays, but visiting yachts can utilize these berths at other times. The marina offers good shelter from the prevailing northwest winds that characterize this area. However, sailors should be aware that katabatic winds occasionally descend from the eastern mountains during evening hours, which can create uncomfortable conditions within the harbour. The relatively shallow depths make Palairos suitable for yachts with moderate draft requirements. Its proximity to the Levkas Canal and position within the Inland Sea make it a convenient stopover for vessels cruising this part of the Ionian coast.
