Lovely fishing village, increasingly popular recently but STILL suitable ONLY for peaceful holiday seekers. Village and Port: One street along highway with several shops, restaurant. Small port with numerous sailing boats, several restaurants and cafes. Narrow gravel beach (large pebbles) - serviceable but NOT reason to visit Lefkada. Sea clean but NOT turquoise like west coast. Bus lines to all Lefkada parts. Excursion boats to Skorpios and Meganisi islands. Nearby services: ATM, market, restaurant. Tip: Fishing village gaining popularity but retains PEACEFUL character - not party destination. Simple layout (one street along highway). Small port crowded with sailing boats - mooring space limited. Beach narrow gravel/pebbles (not spectacular) and sea clean but lacks west coast turquoise color - temper beach expectations. Good transport: bus lines throughout Lefkada, excursion boats to Skorpios (Onassis island) and Meganisi. The peaceful atmosphere and Skorpios/Meganisi boat access appeal to quiet cruisers, but beach/water not Lefkada's best.
