Anchorage

Description

Spiaggia di Cavoli, Elba, Toscana, Italy, is one of the most famous and crowded beaches in summer. It is known for crystal clear sea, beautiful sand, and a unique microclimate. Facing south and sheltered by Monte Capanne from northern winds, it has a mild climate and swimming is possible even in low season, with visitors from March to November. The beach has coarse-grain sand that does not stick, a shallow seabed, and lies in an inlet with Mediterranean scrub and cliffs. It is over 350 metres long and up to 25 metres wide, divided into two parts by large rocks, with bathing establishments on the larger eastern part and a quieter western part. The right-side cliffs are popular for diving off rocks.
