Description
Sakarun, Dugi Otok, Zadar County, Croatia, is a beautiful bay with one of the few sandy beaches in the region and a mainly sandy bottom that gives blue water shades. It shelters from Bura and Tramuntana but is exposed to Jugo and should be left early then. In summer, the swimming area is separated, so buoys are further out. The sandy beach shelves gently and is suitable for children. A small beach bar is on shore and is run by the buoy operator. The bay is crowded in season, so buoy reservations are worthwhile. Price is 30 kn/m in 2022.
