Prasonisi Beach, South Aegean, Rhodes, Greece has excellent holding on sand. At about 300 m from the beach you avoid the kite- and windsurfers who stay closer to land. When entering from the northeast, watch for three unlit buoys anchored south of the industrial plant. The beach at the southernmost end of Rhodes has two sandy coves ending in an island you can reach on foot or by swimming, depending on weather and water level.
