Description

Port Pachi, located a few kilometers from Megara center in Attica, is a historic fishing village on the Saronic Gulf. Known in ancient times as Nisaia, it served as the main port of Megara. Today, visitors can enjoy fresh fish caught directly from the Saronic Gulf while watching traditional fishing boats in the harbor. The village offers authentic Greek coastal atmosphere with waterfront cafes overlooking the port. The hill of Ai Giorgis features a 17th-century church and provides panoramic views across the Saronic Gulf. From this vantage point, the eastern horizon reveals four islands that the ancients called Methourides, along with Salamis island. To the northwest, visitors can watch sunset views behind the Geraneia mountains and Paliokastro. Port Pachi combines historical significance with natural beauty, making it an authentic destination for those exploring the Saronic Gulf coastline.
