Port Agias Galinis (Agia Galini) is a town pier in Agia Galini, Rethymnon, Crete, Greece, located at coordinates 35°5'41'' N, 24°41'26'' E. This charming fishing village on the southern coast of Crete offers excellent protection and free facilities, making it a popular and economical stopover for yachts cruising the Libyan Sea coast. Moored in ENGLISH STYLE (stern or bow-to with anchor) at the breakwater, DEPTH AROUND 6 METERS - good depths for most yachts. FREE WATER, FREE MOORING (2020) - exceptional value. FUEL TANKER available. ATM, car rental, gas station, market, restaurants, and water in the village. The picturesque harbor is surrounded by colorful buildings cascading down the hillside, creating one of Crete's most photogenic ports. Agia Galini is a delightful fishing village that has maintained its traditional character despite tourism development. The waterfront is lined with excellent fish tavernas serving fresh daily catch, traditional Cretan cuisine, and local wines. The village offers all necessary provisions and services. The southern location provides access to beautiful beaches including Agios Georgios, Agios Pavlos, and the famous Preveli Palm Beach.
