Anchorage

Description

Marmaka beach is on the northern side of Ithaca and is filled with white shiny pebbles, including small pieces of fine marble shimmering in the sun. The area is known for emerald, mirror‑like waters and lush green surroundings. Nearby lies the island of Agios Nikolaos in the center of the bay, and the beaches of Aetos and Piso Aetos are close by. Similar small and secluded beaches can be found in the inner parts of the island, often hard to access. Hiring a boat from Kioni or Frikes gives a chance to find private coves along the clean waters of the Ionian Sea.
