Description
Makris Gialos is a small beach in the north of Zakynthos with crystal clear waters and impressive scenery. Small caves can be reached from the beach. A diving school is nearby and several tavernas serve traditional Greek food, while the water is deep, making it less suitable for families with young children. The beach is easily accessible from a main road with parking, and there are no facilities on the beach itself. Umbrellas, sun beds and kiosks are not available, so supplies should be brought.
