Description
Kato Zakros, Lassithi, Crete, Greece, offers mooring in front of bathing buoys at about 6 m over sandy bottom with good holding. The beach is pebbly with some rocks, tranquil waters, and a protected bay, and nearby are small restaurants. The village has basic amenities, rooms, taverns, mini markets, pharmacy, and a petrol station, with bus routes from Sitia. The area has archaeological sites including the Minoan palace of Zakros, and the gorges of death are accessible about 200 m from the beach.
