Jachthaven Penningsveer is situated in the Haarlemmerliede recreation area, while Jachthaven Schoteroog is located at the Schoterbrug on the Spaarne river. Both marinas welcome transient boaters for overnight stays with comprehensive facilities. Marina Penningsveer accommodates approximately 100 vessels in the water, with additional shore storage available for open boats, competition boats, and small motor boats on trailers. The marina primarily functions as a summer haven, featuring a clubhouse with shower facilities, electricity connections, and drinking water supply. Supervisors reside in an ark on the island, accessible from shore via a hand-operated ferry. The marina is surrounded by the Spaarnwoude nature reserve, offering numerous cycling and walking opportunities. The historic village of Spaarndam is within walking and cycling distance, providing convenient access to an Albert Heijn supermarket and various dining establishments. The Waarderpolder industrial area lies in the opposite direction, where Haarlem-Spaarnwoude bus and train station offers direct connections to Haarlem and Amsterdam. Ikea Haarlem is located adjacent to the station. Both marina locations provide essential amenities for visiting boaters including drinking water, showers, toilets, garbage containers, and complimentary Wi-Fi (password available upon request). Mooring fees are charged at €1.25 per meter of vessel length, with electricity available at €2.50 per day.
