Anchorage
Description
Diaporti East, Central Macedonia, Greece, is a nice anchorage with sand and seaweed bottom at 5 to 8 meters, and it is prohibited to go ashore on the small island to the west. It is good for a night or two in good weather, with lots of birds and nice water. Diaporti is on the southwest coast of Sithonia, reachable via a dirt road, with a small gravel and pebble beach and a causeway to the islet of Pounta at low tide; at high tide it looks cut off but is still shallow enough to walk through, and Pounta has fenced private property.
