Description
Atheras Beach is a curved sandy beach surrounded by nature, with clean and shallow waters that are generally calm and somewhat warmer than other places on the island. It attracts families and you may encounter yachts and small boats anchoring in the bay. There are several hiking paths in the area, including one leading to the small beach of Amidi through scenic surroundings. The beach is not organized and has no natural shade, so an umbrella is needed. By the beach is the family taverna Drosos.
