Description
Myrtos Beach lies in the northwest of Kefalonia, between the high cliffs of Mount Agia Dynati and Mount Kalon Oros. It has a 1.5 km long arch of sparkling white pebbles and turquoise waters, making it one of the most scenic beaches in Greece. Myrtos was chosen as a filming location for the movie “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.” It is a wide beach of very white round pebbles, bathed by transparent sea. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Kefalonia and is included among the 30 most beautiful beaches in the world, attracting thousands of visitors each year.
