Den Bommel marina is a peaceful harbor regularly visited by passing yachts who appreciate the tranquil natural surroundings. The marina offers mooring facilities at the longitudinal jetty or the end jetty of the passer-by's bowl, with boxes marked by green signs attached to the jetty. Visiting boats can use these designated boxes, which must be vacated by 12 noon the next day unless alternative arrangements are made with the harbor master. The marina layout accommodates vessels of different sizes, with larger boxes for yachts up to 11.5-12 meters located at the front of the harbor, while smaller boxes are positioned at the back. Smaller yachts are requested to avoid mooring in boxes that are significantly larger than necessary. There is no requirement to report immediately to the harbor master upon arrival. The harbor master, Jan Hovestad, conducts his rounds at approximately 7 pm, visiting all passing boats. If you cannot be present during his rounds, visitors are encouraged to seek out the harbor master themselves. The overnight mooring rate is €1.60 per meter per night as of 2022. The marina does not accept telephone reservations for berths, though the port is rarely at full capacity. The Haringvliet experiences limited tidal effect, with summer water level drops rarely exceeding half a meter.
