Syros Marina is an abandoned and unfinished port facility that remains in skeletal state. According to local sources, the marina construction has never progressed beyond its initial shell phase and is unlikely to be completed. While the location offers good protection from the Meltem winds when positioned downwind, wind protection is limited mainly to the eastern round section of the port. The majority of available berths are currently occupied by local fishermen and small boats, with only occasional visiting yachts. The marina lacks any service facilities, and the surrounding environment is characterized by dusty, unattractive conditions. Access to Ermoupolis center is available via free bus service, with the bus stop located at a supermarket parking lot approximately 300 meters from the marina. Due to the unfinished state and lack of amenities, mariners are strongly advised to continue to the main port of Syros in Ermoupolis rather than attempting to use this incomplete marina facility.
