Description

Sumartin is a town pier in Sumartin, Brač, Croatia, located at coordinates 43.28538200°N, 16.87130900°E. Resort on branched bay in southeast of Brač island. Maximum draft: 3m. Harbor Layout and Depths: East bay - ferry pier to Makarska (outside), fishermen inside who sometimes claim whole harbor. Inner pier newly built, protects small harbor for local boats - moor at 3m depth with water and electricity. Quay wall on shore at 2.4m depth. Opposite shore has bathing beach and one of last wooden shipyards in Dalmatia. Western bay (6.5m) has gas station with 4m depth at quay wall, then shallower 2.8-2.5m. Boats moor with stern anchors - berth available with luck. Facilities and Availability: Unfortunately far too few places for guests. Numerous restaurants, konobas, cafes in town. Supermarket directly at harbor. Nearby services: ATM, electricity, gas station, market, restaurant, water. Tip: Complex branched bay with multiple mooring areas. Inner pier (3m depth) has water/electricity but fishermen may occupy. Quay wall option at 2.4m. Western bay gas station area (4m depth) valuable for fueling - depths then shallow to 2.5-2.8m, stern anchor mooring. Historic wooden shipyard on opposite shore worth visiting. WARNING: Very limited guest spaces - fishermen often claim areas. Supermarket at harbor convenient. Multiple restaurants/konobas for dining. Early arrival essential for berth.
