Description

Skinos beach is a long, narrow and extremely calm beach within 2 km of Vathy, the capital of Ithaca. It is reachable only by car, and the road’s last stretch is incomplete, so careful driving is required. The beach is strewn with shiny pebbles of various sizes. The sea has crystal waters with an emerald green tinge and is good for snorkeling along the rocky shoreline. Cypresses border the beach, and there are no tourist amenities, so visitors should bring basic supplies. Trees offer plenty of shade, and the beach remains clean. The backdrop includes a few exclusive villas overlooking the area.
