Sixhaven Marina is centrally located in Amsterdam on the river IJ, directly opposite the Central Railway Station. The marina offers convenient access from both the IJsselmeer (lake IJssel) and the North Sea, with the advantage of being able to reach it with upright mast. The central location provides excellent connectivity to Amsterdam's city centre, accessible via a short 5-minute walk to the ferry service. Payment for mooring places is handled through an automated ticket machine located next to the Harbour master's office. The machine operates 24 hours a day and accepts PIN, I-PAY and MAESTRO payment methods. Cash payments are not accepted at this facility. Upon payment, boaters receive a receipt containing the entrance code for the parking gate, along with a sticker that must be displayed prominently on the boat for the harbour master to verify payment. The marina provides comprehensive sanitation facilities available year-round. A separate shower and toilet facility unit serves all visitors. At the ticket machine, boaters can obtain a facility card that grants access to showers and washing/drying machines. This same card also enables refueling with drinking water at the marina. Additional amenities include ironing facilities for guests' convenience.
