Porto Gouves Marina, established as the first private marina in Crete, officially opened on July 15th, 2005. Located in Gouves on the northern coastline of Crete, the marina sits just 6 miles east of Heraklion harbor and 15 kilometers from Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport. The facility operates under the management of Marina Hotel & Bungalows at coordinates 35°20'15' North, 25°18'13'' East. The marina provides 72 berths equipped with comprehensive services for yachts up to 18.50 meters in length and 3 meters draught. Each berth includes water supply, 220V electricity connection, telephone connection, and TV aerial antennas. Additionally, dry storage facilities accommodate 15 boats. The pier infrastructure features a slipway, fire hoses and extinguishers, fuel station, refuse containers, bilge water pump, sewerage pump, and waste oil disposal facilities. Security personnel guard the marina 24 hours per day. The Porto Gouves Marina complex includes essential amenities such as parking lot, snack bar, restaurant, mini market, marine shop, showers, WC facilities, and a first aid station. The administration office provides telephone and facsimile services, weather forecast reports, internet access, postal services, and general information for visiting yachts. Marina guests have access to additional facilities at the adjacent 4-star Marina Hotel, including multiple restaurants, bars, swimming pools, conference center, souvenir shop, jeweler's shop, laundry service, currency exchange office, car rental services, hairdresser, gym, and 24-hour medical care. Porto Gouves Marina serves as a strategic stopover point for yachts cruising the Cretan coastline, offering comprehensive services in one of Europe's most developed resort destinations in the Mediterranean.
