Anchorage

Description

Port Spetsopoula is on the island of Spetsopoula southeast of Spetses in Attica, Greece, about 90 km from Athens, with an area of about 2 km². The island was known as Aristera and its modern name means small Spetses. It was bought in 1962 by Stavros Niarchos and remains owned by his descendants; it is linked with the death of Eugenia Livanos in 1970. According to the 2011 census it is uninhabited, and the island is often visited by high society friends of the Niarchos family.
