Port Neum (Neum) Herzegovina-Neretva Canton - Bosnia and Herzegovina Anchorage in Neum, Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina

Neum is an Adriatic Sea port and town in Bosnia‑Herzegovina and the country’s only seaport. Bosnia’s coastline is about 20 km long. The town has a population around 3,000 and lies about 60 km from Dubrovnik in Croatia. Future plans include development as a cargo port with modern facilities and direct rail and road links to Croatia, while today the primary cargo port is Ploce in Croatia, rail‑linked to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Neum has a Mediterranean climate, pebble‑sand beaches, pristine wilderness, steep hills with centuries‑old olive trees, and several large resort hotels, villas and apartments; accommodations offer about 5,000 beds. Tourism is the main income source, supported by lower prices compared to Croatia. As a cruise port, Neum is a tender port where ships anchor offshore and use tender boats.
