An alternative mooring option exists at the breakwater, where careful navigation allows yachts to lie alongside or anchor moor to the outer half during busy periods. The inner half of the breakwater features rock ballasting along its length, requiring sailors who choose to anchor moor here to take lines ashore using their dinghy. The breakwater quay stands very high above water level, with limited mooring infrastructure consisting of only a few staples and cleats positioned along the sides and top. The most convenient berthing position is alongside the steps, which provides easier access for boarding and disembarking from yachts.
