Description
Plava laguna (Budikovac Bay) near Vis, Croatia, is on the west side of Budikovac Veli, with Small Budikovac and Sanak forming a natural lagoon. The water is wonderfully clear and changes color with the time of day. The inner lagoon is shallow and not suitable for sailing yachts; buoys there are for flat-bottomed motorboats and catamarans at about 1.5 m depth. Sailing yachts use the outer buoys in 3–6 m. Do not enter from the northern shallows. Buoys are often fully occupied in season and require reservation. Clear water suits swimming and snorkeling, but there can be strong currents. Restaurant payment is cash only.
