Description
Plateau du Milieu Saint-Honorat near Cannes, France, features six submerged sculptures placed 84 to 132 meters from shore at depths of 3 to 5 meters, accessible with mask and snorkel. The faces were transported by barge and submerged near the south shore of Île Sainte-Marguerite. The mask theme references the “Iron Mask” linked to the State prison of Paris and Île Sainte-Marguerite from 1687 to 1698.
