Description

Muna is a town pier on Žirje island, Croatia, located at coordinates 43.66174341°N, 15.65680504°E, 22km (14 miles) southwest of Šibenik. This is the most remote permanently inhabited island in the Šibenik archipelago with 10 berths, maximum boat length 18m, and maximum draft 4m. Mooring Details: Moorings with mooring lines at the quay. Note: Quay wall is too low at high tide - plan your approach accordingly. Berthing capacity: 10 vessels, max length 18m, max draft 4m. Nearby services: ATM, electricity, market, service station, weather info. Island Character: Žirje (Italian: Zuri) covers 15.08 km² with population of 103 (2011). The island features two limestone ridges with fertile valley, maquis shrubland vegetation, and agricultural land. Main industries: agriculture (grapes, olives, plums, figs, sour cherries) and fishing. Rich fishing waters surround the island. Tourism remains largely undeveloped. Historical sites include Byzantine fortress remnants (6th century) and 12th-13th century fortifications. Tip: This remote island offers authentic Croatian island experience with minimal tourism development. Check tide levels before mooring due to low quay wall. Stock up on supplies as facilities are basic.
