Description
Marathi Bay, Chania, Crete, Greece has two beautiful beaches with fine sand and shallow calm water, facing south and well protected from winds. A small pier separates the beaches and serves as a harbor for fishing boats and small ferries, with amenities nearby and views to Drapanos Cape and the White Mountains. Anchorage is good at 4 m on a sandy bottom in a pretty bay without swell. Taverns are nearby, there are many deckchairs, planes pass during the day but nights are very quiet, and you can dock a dinghy at the small fishing port.
