Description

Livadi Marina serves as the only port and largest settlement on Serifos island in the South Aegean. Located in the southeastern part of the island, the marina sits in a wind-protected bay offering reliable shelter for vessels. The harbor features a good mooring pier suitable for ships in all weather conditions, with dedicated facilities for yachts. When harbor space is unavailable, the bay provides sufficient room for anchoring. The area benefits from abundant water supply, an uncommon advantage among Greek islands. Livadi functions as the island's main tourist center, hosting the majority of Serifos accommodations. The settlement provides comprehensive services including a bank, post office, gas station, pharmacy, and Port Police Station. Visitors can access an information office, travel agencies, and numerous shops throughout the area. The marina area includes Avlomonas, the largest beach on Serifos island. Livadi serves as the central hub for bus routes connecting to various island destinations. These routes provide access to beaches, traditional villages, the historic castle of the Archangels, and the White Tower. Buses also travel to Great Livadi, notable for its mining heritage where historical remnants create a distinctive atmosphere. From the marina, visitors can view Hora, the island's main town positioned above Livadi. Hora features traditional Cycladic architecture with cobbled streets and whitewashed houses characteristic of the region.
