Anchorage

Description

Levitha, South Aegean, Greece, is a small island in the Dodecanese, part of Leros, between Kos and Paros, with 9.8 sq km area and 34 km coastline. A family has lived there since 2009 and runs a restaurant. Protected coves give shelter from meltemi. Levitha west bay is an excellent anchorage with sandy bottom and great holding, minimal roll from passing fishing boats, and clear water for swimming. It is off the grid with no cellular signal, with room for 2 or 3 boats and no tavern in the west bay; a tavern is in East Bay. The buoys disappeared at the end of April 2022.
