Description
Ksamil is a village in the riviera of Southern Albania, part of Butrint National Park and a subdivision of the municipality Sarandë. Its 2011 population was 2,994, and the municipal unit includes Ksamil and Manastir. The village was built in 1966 and lies south of Sarandë on the road to Butrint. Ksamil is a frequented coastal resort; the nearby Ksamil Islands are the main attraction. The mainland beach is small but clean. The Ksamil Islands are four small islands in southern Albania, about 15 km south of Saranda. You can visit them by boat after completing formalities in Saranda and spend the day swimming in their clear waters.
