Anchorage
Description
Kalydon West, Elounda, Crete, Greece, is an extremely protected anchorage with calm, lake-like water. The bottom is sand and mud with great holding, and a beach is reachable by dinghy with fire pits, grill, and seating. Anchor along the west side to avoid rocks at the stern, and depths are up to 7 m even in the center. When entering, sail slightly east toward Spinalonga to maintain at least 4.5 m depth.
