Description

Jachtclub Scheveningen marina in Den Haag operates without berth reservations. Upon arrival, visiting vessels should moor with the bow to the north in the designated passer-by's area alongside a jetty or a ship of equivalent length. The marina uses a stacking system for berthing arrangements. Independent mooring in boxes is strictly prohibited as all berths belong to members of the Scheveningen Yacht Club association. The Harbor Master is available daily during July and August between 8:30 AM and 10:00 PM to assist with berthing arrangements and provide instructions. Visitors are required to pay mooring fees through the Blue Water app, which provides the access code for the port and sanitary facilities located in the Port Office. It is not possible to reserve berths through any apps or booking sites. When entering or leaving the port, all vessels must report to the Scheveningen Traffic Center on VHF channel 21 and await instructions before proceeding. Mariners should be aware of strong currents across the harbor entrance. The current runs north approximately 2 hours before high water at Hoek van Holland, and south approximately 4 hours after high water at Hoek van Holland. When departing from Scheveningen Yacht Club, sailing through the Pijp is not permitted when a red light is displayed on the quay at the starboard side. The passer-by's area is specifically designated for visiting boats, and all visitors must respect the members' boxes. Temporary mooring in a box is only permitted under direct instructions from the harbor master. The marina management emphasizes that independent berthing decisions are not allowed, and all mooring arrangements must follow the harbor master's guidance during the summer season.
