Haven Stavenisse is a tidal harbour on Tholen island in the Netherlands, accessible through a narrow channel where tidal conditions play a crucial role in navigation. The harbour operates with specific tidal windows, requiring vessels to avoid entry and exit two hours before and two hours after low tide. Between consecutive low tides, sailors enjoy more than eight hours of comfortable and safe navigation for entering and leaving the port. The marina features fully illuminated jetties equipped with 16-ampere electricity connections for permanent berth holders, while passers-by can access power through coin-operated machines (€1.00) located on jetties D, E, F and the visitors' jetty. Each jetty is fitted with a 30-meter drinking water hose for convenient water access. Waste management facilities are available throughout the harbour, with rubbish containers positioned on the quay for permanent berth holders and dedicated containers on the passers-by jetty for visiting sailors. The harbour's sanitary facilities are located next to the historic mill and operate seasonally from 1 April to 31 October. The sanitary block includes two ladies' toilets, two men's toilets, two washbasins, and separate shower facilities for men and women (€0.50 per use). The harbour location offers excellent access to local amenities within walking distance, including restaurants and a supermarket catering to various needs. While waiting during restricted tidal periods, visitors can enjoy harbour-side entertainment suitable for all ages or socialize on the jetty. Haven Stavenisse combines practical maritime facilities with convenient shore access, making it a functional tidal harbour for both permanent residents and passing sailors navigating Dutch waters.
