Description
Grotta di Mezzogiorno, Palmarola, Italy, is associated with the stacks of Mezzogiorno, four islets facing south. The Faraglione di Mezzogiorno contains the Grottone di Mezzogiorno. The Faraglione di Fuori, contiguous to Faraglione Cappello, forms the passage known as the small door, called Portella in the Ponza dialect. Nearby are two rocks called the Palmarola rifles, remains of a rocky arch collapsed after a strong storm.
