Description

Baia degli Infreschi, Camerota, Salerno, Italy, is a small natural port known to national and international tourism and a destination for sea excursions. Since 2009 it has been part of the Costa degli Infreschi and Masseta marine protected area. Its name comes from the freshness of spring waters that flow into the bay. Near the small beach are Torre del Frontone and the church of San Lazzaro. The small beaches are gravel and rock, with small caverns where fresh water springs flow. The cave of Porto Infreschi was used by Greeks and Romans for tuna conservation and processing and remained in operation until the middle of the last century.
