The Apollonas Kouros lies within one of Greece's oldest marble quarries on a hillside above Apollonas village in northern Naxos. This unfinished kouros statue measures 35 feet (10.7 meters) in length......
The monastery complex consists of several buildings arranged around a central courtyard. The main church dates from the Byzantine period and features remarkable frescoes and iconography.
Visitors can explore the museum which houses ancient manuscripts and religious artifacts. The library contains over thousand rare books and documents.
