Description
Anse de Port-Mânes on Île Dumet, France, lies between the Loire and Vilaine estuaries. The island is 7 km off Piriac-sur-Mer, covers 8 hectares, and has a jagged coastline with lawns, rocky and sandy coasts. Former military buildings are present. The surroundings are popular for mooring pleasure boats, leading to high beach use and trampling; public channeling work aims to limit impacts. The island is within Natura 2000, and historic nesting of terns has been affected by frequentation and predators.
