Description
Ammoudi Beach, Agios Nikolaos, Crete, Greece, has very good holding in sand at 8–10 m, with minimal waves and swell when wind is from the west. It is close to town and in a large protected bay with a small sandy beach and shallow waters. The area has tamarisk trees and many options for accommodation and eating, and the beach offers water sports facilities. A walkway leads to the chapel of St. Nicholas on Cape Nissi, offering views of the city and Mirabello Bay.
