Anchorage

Description

Agios Triada (Eretria) in Eubója, Central Greece is absolutely calm 1 meter from the port, with anchoring in 3.5 meters on hard sand and the need to insist on hooking the anchor. The small islet of Agia Triada lies off Eretria and is a privately owned island with a villa, two traditional Greek homes, a 17th-century observatory, a church, and a boathouse. It has olive trees, wildflowers, pistachio and cypress trees, and fruits like pomegranates, apricots, and peaches, ringed by beaches and crystal blue waters, and its shape resembles a guitar. The Beatles allegedly wanted to buy it in 1967, and it was visited by celebrities including the Greek Royal Family and Emperor Haile Selassie.
