ACI Marina Vrboska (Vrboska) Opčina Jelsa - Hvar - Croatia Marina in Vrboska, Split-Dalmatia County

ACI Marina Vrboska is located in the outer part of the harbor of Vrboska, a town situated at the end of a deep and narrow bay on the northern coast of Hvar Island. The bay is long and narrow, like a fjord. The marina has been awarded the Blue Flag for years and represents economically the most important establishment in Vrboska. The town has a rich tradition of fishing evident in the local cuisine, though tourism is now the primary activity. The marina provides good shelter from all winds due to the deep, narrow harbor configuration. Navigation approach: When approaching from the north, use Zečevo Island lighthouse (Fl W 5s 11m 5M) at position 43°11.5'N 16°42.1'E as a landmark. Round the Glavica peninsula and steer towards the red lighthouse marking the entrance to Jelsa (Fl R 3s 6m 5M). When the lighthouse on Cape Križ (Fl W 2s 5m 5M) comes into view, the lights of Vrboska will also become visible. When coming from the south, southeast or east, approach by sailing along the northern coast of Hvar Island from east to west. All three lighthouses are visible at night and the marina piers are illuminated.
