Description

ACI Marina Milna is a Blue Flag awarded marina located at the bottom of the southeast part of Milna harbor, opposite the town center where charming streets meet the sea. The marina offers clear sea, ideal diving, sailing and fishing conditions in this lovely Mediterranean place. The town of Milna is situated at the bottom of a long bay, indented deeply into the western coastline of Brač Island. Approach: The islet of Mrdulja, 2.5 miles west of Milna, serves as a landmark with a green lighthouse (Fl G 3s 14m 4M) at position 43°20.3'N 16°24.9'E, which can be rounded from all sides. The route to Milna passes Cape Bijaka with a red lighthouse (Fl R 3s 8m 3M). The church bell tower at the bottom of the bay points to the marina entrance. On the town pier at the entrance, on the port side, there is a red lighthouse (Fl(2) R 5s 7m 4M). Brač Island is recognized by the chirping of crickets and the sound of hammers in the only stonemason school in this part of Europe, located in Pučišći. The famous white Brač stone was used to build Diocletian's Palace in Split and partly the White House in Washington. The island is also known for Zlatni rat, the well-known beach near Bol, a famous surfer destination with a unique phenomenon - it changes shape and position depending on waves chased by the wind. Milna is the largest, best-protected, and most beautiful bay on the western shore of the island, offering security and peace from all winds. Thanks to this, it is one of the best known safe harbors for charter during the summer season. The bay faces the Splitska vrata strait.
