Town Pier

Description

Achilli is a town pier on Skyros island, Thessaly and Central Greece, Greece, located at coordinates 38.870111°N, 24.573764°E. ABANDONED PORT offering primitive but excellent protection. Port Status: ABANDONED PORT - no active management or maintained facilities. Port infrastructure exists but lacks operational services or maintenance. Weather Protection: Port is WELL PROTECTED for ALL WIND DIRECTIONS. Outstanding all-around shelter provides safe refuge regardless of wind direction - rare comprehensive protection. Facilities WARNING: NO water, NO electricity, NO street lights. Completely self-sufficient operation required - no utilities, shore power, or lighting infrastructure available. Primitive anchoring only. Shelter Quality: Probably the BEST SHELTER on the island. Despite abandoned status and lack of facilities, superior protection from elements makes this most reliable refuge on Skyros for weather emergencies. Services: Mestské mólo (Town pier) listed but effectively no services due to abandoned status. Tip: Best all-weather shelter on Skyros island but COMPLETELY PRIMITIVE - no water, electricity, or lights. Must be entirely self-sufficient. Excellent emergency refuge for weathering storms with protection from all wind directions. Abandoned status means no fees but also no assistance.
