Porto Stenitis, sometimes known as Stenitis bay isn’t a beach as such, it’s a fjord on the west coast of Zakynthos (Zante). It’s around 35km from Zakynthos town which is the islands capital.

Although there’s no beach there’s some rocks that slope into the sea so you can get in the water. It’s a beautiful place for a swim with crystal clear waters and rugged scenery. Why not bring your snorkel and have a look below the water too.

Generally Porto Stenitis is very quiet, you could easily be the only people there even in the height of summer. The only exception to this is when a boat trip turns up but they normally just stop to show people around and have a 15 minute swim so you’ll be back to peace and quiet before you know it.
