Description
Vis, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia, is a beautiful bay with clear water and a nearby village; buoys are in good order but expensive. In strong S or E winds, anchoring off Kut village or immediately W of the monastery peninsula can be more comfortable than quays. In either case, anchor in 5.0–8.0 m with moderate to good holding in sand and weed if weedy patches are avoided. A few mooring buoys are laid in the bay for visiting yachts.
